1 Peter 1:22-25

Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart.

For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

For, "All men are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall,

but the word of the Lord stands forever." And this is the word that was preached to you.

Our purification

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9

“Sanctification”

By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Hebrews 10:10

“Positional” Sanctification.

“Completed” Sanctification.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

Ephesians 5:25-27

“Experiential sanctification”

“have purified yourselves”

To the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.

Ephesians 1:6-7

Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Philippians 1:6

Our Church

  1. We are one body

There is one body and one Spirit– just as you were called to one hope when you were called, one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

Ephesians 4:4-6

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

1 John 1:7

“And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved”

Acts 2:47

Phileo – “brotherly love”

Agape – “a Godlike sacrificial love”

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

1 Peter 4:8
  1. We have one experience

Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit”.

John 3:5

Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.

Romans 10:17

Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

2 Peter 1:4

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

1 Peter 1:3

Our Hope

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Matthew 24:35
