History is crowded with men who would be gods:
- Egyptian Pharaohs
- Roman Emperors
- Dalai Lamas
- Homer
- Buddha
- Alexander the Great
- Tutankhamun
- Wallace Fard Muhammad
- Napoleon Bonaparte
- Maharishi Mahesh Yogi
- Taher Saifuddin
- Adolph Hitler
- Vladimir Lenin
- Mao Tse Tung
- Sun Myung Moon
But there was only one GOD who would become man:
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.
Luke 2:10-11
Every man who would be god, died, never to be seen again. Jesus Christ died and rose from the dead and was seen by many. The Apostle Paul writes…
For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, and last of all he appeared to me also.
1 Corinthians 15:3-8
In this Christmas season, don’t follow the “god wannabes,” follow the Christ child. Not only did He claim to be God, but He also proved that He was. God sent Jesus to that little town of Bethlehem to save the likes of me and you…
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”
John 3:16-17
If you have never received Christ as your personal Savior, there is no better gift you can give than to give your heart to Him. Consider this:
“Anyone can devise a plan by which good people go to heaven. Only God can devise a plan whereby sinners, which are His enemies, can go to heaven.”
Lewis Sperry Chafer
From Judy and I, Merry Christmas, and may you enjoy the fullness of the Season. Just remember, All is Well…
